A Night in Bethlehem and Grand Illumination – Saturday, November 16th

Join us for A Night in Bethlehem – Saturday, November 16th from 7:00pm-8:30pm

It is a night like no other; you will see the marketplace in Bethlehem as it was the night that Jesus was born.  Learn the trades of the time with a hands-on experience, meet the census taker, have your family's picture taken in period costume, visit a tax collector, and more.  We need lots of help to put on this event–please contact the church office if you are able to assist in any way.   In addition to people to staff various stalls, we need to borrow certain items that will be returned after the event, including old rugs, old sheets, a chimenea, wooden toys/animals, corn stalks, hay bales, pop up tents, a search light, pop-up canopies, and lots of old fabric.

At the end of the Night in Bethlehem event we will celebrate the Grand Illumination, lighting up the church for the Christmas season.  Last year we were able to light up the Peace Pole, Christmas trees in the sanctuary, the Lighthouse, Humbert Overlook, the UMYF room, the Tower Bell, playground trees and church shrubbery, and the Bethlehem star.  Please consider being a sponsor for this event–contact the church office for details.
