Lenten Highlights and Easter Services

Come celebrate the Lenten and Easter seasons with us!


March 17th:  Youth Sunday
Share with us as our youth explore the Bible’s message–“Don’t Look Around, LOOK UP!”  The stories of the Furnace, the Lion’s Den, and Taking the Roof Off Peter’s House told as only our youth can…a sensory experience of deep spiritual truths from Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego & Daniel to Jesus at Peter’s house when a soul needs healing. Revealing the heart of Christ on his way to the cross.

March 24th:  Palm Sunday
Celebrate Palm Sunday with palms, music and drama!  Featuring the musicians of Nichols-Bethel in the cantata “Upon This Rock”, composed by Pepper Choplin.  Walking with Jesus to the cross, singing the songs of faith, passion and sacrifice… listening for hope beyond Calvary’s Hill.

March 28th:  Holy Thursday
11:30 am to 12:30 pm  Meditative Communion
6:30 pm Congregational Dinner in the Lighthouse (lite fare:  soup, bread, stew, kid stuff, fruit, cakes…we'll provide, you enjoy.  Stations for reflection, time to get ready.  And then…going up to the Lord's table.)
7:30 pm Candlelight Communion in the Sanctuary
Sanctuary Prayer Vigil begins following the 7:30 service, continues through 7:30 pm Friday

March 29th:  Good Friday
7:30 pm Good Friday Tenebrae
Service:  "A Garden, a Guard, a Gethsemane; A Prayer, a Pilate, a Passion of Soul"

March 30th:  Easter Eggstravaganza!
From 10:00 am to 11:30 am, join us to enjoy games, egg coloring, snack, and the easter egg hunt!



 6:15 am Sunrise Service:  gathering on the East Lawn.  Moving from the darkness of the deepest night to the glorious prayers and sunrise songs of Easter light.  Declaring the dawn of resurrection faith!

7:00 am Breakfast:  in Manning Hall

8 and 11 am Traditional Resurrection Services:  "Angels and Quakes, and all for Heaven's Sake!"  (Both services will be proceeded by a half hour of joyful music provided by Resurrection Sounds.)

9:30 am Contemporary Service: celebrating the resurrection of our Lord with abundant music!
