Holy Week Prayer Vigil

As we read in Matthew 25:36-45, Mark 14:24-41 and Luke 22:39-45, Jesus told His disciples, “Stay here and keep watch with me” as He prayed in Gethsemane during His final hours. We as His disciples today will be keeping watch during our Prayer Vigil beginning Holy Thursday following the communion service and continuing until the Good Friday service. In Matthew’s 26th chapter, verse 39 Jesus asked, “Could you not keep watch with me for one hour?”

This vigil of prayer gives you the opportunity to listen to God, seek His will, offer your prayers of Thanksgiving and share your deepest needs and concerns.

A chart will be in the narthex to sign-up for a particular time to ensure that every hour is covered. If you cannot come to the church to participate we ask that you pray with us in your home. However, you do not need to sign up for a specific hour to come in and pray! While our chart is designed to ensure that the entire 24-hour period is covered, all are welcome at any time to come in. Any questions contact the church office.
